Speakeasy on my heart baby because that’s where we start. A little quick history on this gorgeous couple goes down like this. To see this girl smile and treated well after all the years I’ve known her makes me so HAPPY you have no idea! What a relief when someone you care about ends up wrapped in some good, strong, loving arms! She’s a talented woman! To be capturing their engagement and reflecting on her styling my hair for my wedding makes life seem a little fuller. It’s the little ingredients that make the difference in something sweet and that’s what this shoot is to me! Noticing the little things! I love little things! The quick glances, the playful smirks, the pat on the rear when you think no one was looking, or that little joke that’s just between you two and totally your own thing! These two met at a speakeasy bar while out with friends. In order to relieve the girls from some pesky men Joey came in like a knight and shining armor! This good looking man with an oversized heart did what any smart man would do when he realized this sweet eye candy fell for him; he asked her to marry him! Now I haven’t proposed to someone but these days I imagine planning a proposal has got to be stressful. With people having access to everyone’s life and Pinterest for god’s sake how is someone to feel that for one, the proposal is unique or two, that it measures up! Measures up to what? Every idea that spins in mankind’s brain because we can now see it! That’s overwhelming. You know what can not be captured? The heart.
Let’s return to the rain we first discussed, shall we? Joey had this whole Cinderella storybook set up for an engagement proposal. The whole bit, with a carriage and Southern California Temecula winery backdrop surrounded by family and friends. Then isn’t it ironic, it rains! What do you do when it rains on a one time shot in life? You embrace it that’s what you do! You dance in it! You rejoice in it! If the sun is shining it’s clearing away the clouds from the past if the rain is falling it’s cleansing the ground for the future. It’s perspective! And this couple has admirable perspective!
